Painting without paint
Emily at Tate Liverpool suggested I try painting with beetroot as it is a strong colour so I used beetroot, tumeric, coffee and parsley to paint these pictures. The parsley did not stay green but turned brown but the beetroot kept it's colour and the tumeric is very vibrant. Frank Leahy suggested using instant coffee and that proved to be much easier than filter.

Scraps at Tate Liverpool
We had a fantastic visit to Liverpool with the Scraps. Tate Liverpool was, as ever, amazing. We chatted to Emily who works at Tate about the scraps project and the Broken Branches ethos and she had the genius idea of painting with beetroot, will try this later and post the results.
